Age 18 · Based in New York, NY
Background
Elyse Tindall is a musical theatre actress and vocal coach from Atlanta, Georgia, now based in New York City. She is an alumna of the Broadway Artists Alliance and has trained at the University of the Arts. Her credits include The Little Mermaid (Ursula), Anastasia (Lily), Echoes of the Fork and Site 19 (film — cast and music collaborator), Miss You Like Hell (ensemble / Olivia understudy — inaugural production), Almost, Maine (Hope), Little Women (Amy), industry showcases, and off-Broadway cabarets — including Broadway Artists Alliance at Don’t Tell Mama and her NYC debut at Ripley-Grier Studios.
Alongside her performance work, she teaches private voice lessons grounded in vocal pedagogy, with a strong emphasis on vocal health and contemporary commercial music (CCM). Special skills include piano, dance (jazz, tap, ballet), hand-to-hand stage combat, and certified scuba diving.
Philosophy
I believe theatre is about honesty under lights — finding the specific human truth in every scene, then sharing it generously with the audience. Whether I’m playing comedy or heartbreak, I work from curiosity, discipline, and joy. The goal is never to “perform at” people; it’s to invite them in.
As I grow as an artist in New York, I’m committed to craft over shortcuts: listening partners, precise text work, healthy vocal technique, and showing up prepared so directors and collaborators can trust me in the room. In the teaching studio, that same commitment shows up as clear pedagogy and care for each singer’s instrument.
